Fat Head Farm Friends
Welcome to the noisiest, most opinionated part of the farm! If you thought the bees had a lot to say, just wait until you meet our barnyard crew. Each one of these characters comes with a big personality (and an even bigger appetite), but don’t let them fool you—they’re well-fed, well-loved, and definitely not starving, no matter what Waylon tries to tell you.
Meet the Crew
• Waylon & Louise – The resident pigs. Their favorite hobbies include mud puddle lounging, dramatic begging, and making us question who’s really in charge around here.
• The Quack Pack – A rowdy bunch of ducks who believe they run the place. Spoiler: They do not.
• Jim & Jack – Our geese, known for their watchful eyes, occasional honking fits, and general farm security duties. If you hear loud commentary, it’s probably them.
• The Chatty Hens – These ladies have an opinion about everything. They gossip, they peck, and they keep us stocked with fresh eggs.
Farm fresh eggs from our happy hens! No two are alike-because real food isn’t meant to be uniform. Grab a dozen at the farm stand and taste the difference!
Barnyard Rules: No Sneaky Snacks
We know—they’ll try. The pigs will oink, the ducks will waddle up looking hopeful, and the geese? Well, they’ll just stare you down until you feel guilty. But please don’t feed them. Our animals are on a special diet to keep them healthy, and trust us—Waylon does not need extra snacks (even if he swears he does).
Please don’t feed the animals…..Waylon does NOT need extra snacks (even if he tells you he does)
Bee Fact: Bees & Barnyards? You Bet.
It’s not just the gardens and wildflowers that benefit from bees—barnyards do too! Pollinators help clover, alfalfa, and other pasture plants grow, keeping farm animals fed with nutrient-rich forage. Without bees, the food chain for both farm critters and humans would look very different.
So while the Fat Head Farm Friends might be the loudest part of the farm, don’t forget the quieter workers—our bees—buzzing away to keep everything growing.
