Welcome to our Honey Farm!
Howdy, honey lovers! We’re so glad you’re here, buzzing around our little honey homestead—the heart and hive of Fat Head Honey Farms.
We’re Brian & Kathy, the beekeeping duo behind the magic. Brian is a fourth-generation beekeeper, carrying on the family tradition, while Kathy is the creative mind in The Beekeeper’s Kitchen, dreaming up artisan flavors that make our honey shine. Together, we’ve built something truly special—a place where old-school beekeeping meets a whole lot of creativity.
This farm isn’t just where we make honey—it’s where we live, wrangle fat head bulldogs, grow gardens, harvest fruit, and keep a flock of chatty chickens (who, for the record, think they run the place). It’s a labor of love, filled with early mornings, muddy boots, and the sweet hum of bees working their magic.
Now, while you’ll see plenty of buzzing action right here on the farm, not all of our bees live here. Our little workers are spread out across 25+ bee yards in surrounding counties, setting up shop in prairies, wildflower fields, and wherever the nectar’s flowing. That means every jar of Fat Head Honey is a little taste of Nebraska’s finest blooms.
“Life’s a little sweeter with bees in the backyard, honey in the pantry, and a good dose of sunshine....and maybe a bulldog snoring on the porch”
Take a self-guided stroll, the tour starts right behind the little farm stand. Open from Mid -April through September.
How the Tour Works:
This self-guided tour is designed to let you explore at your own pace and begins right behind the little farm stand. Along the way, you’ll find QR codes—scan them to dive deeper into each stop, from the buzzing hives to the blooming gardens.
And when you finish the loop? Swing by the farm stand to grab a curated picnic and find a shady spot in the orchard to sit back, snack, and soak it all in.
Whether you’re here to learn about bees, snag some honey, or just enjoy the simple joys of farm life—we’re happy to have you.
